History-Early Modern Period of India(1707-1858)

In the early 18th century under the Peshwas, The Marathas consolidated and ruled over Southern India and in the North Sikh empire expanded under leadership of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.
In this time period the East India company strengthened it’s rule in some parts of India and after Battle of Plassey and Battle of Buxer company became the de facto ruler of India.
