F-1 Turkish Grand Prix 2020
- Lewis Hamilton has won the Turkish Grand Prix 2020. He was representing Mercedes- Great Britain in the tournament, it was his 10th victory of season and 94th F1 victory of his career, With this win he claimed the seventh F1 championship title of his career to equal the record of Michal Schumacher.
- Sergio Perez from Mexico and Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari Finished 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
- The Turkish Grand Prix 2020 is a 58 laps race of 5.338 kilo meters, organized at Istanbul Park circuit on Sunday, November 15th.
GDP Growth Rate of India 2020
- Moody’s raised its forecast to -8.9% for the calendar year 2020 from -9.6% in its global Macro outlook 2021-22 report.
- Results of pandemic curve, easing in the mobility, less test positivity rate are factors behind the forecast of growth rate.
- India remains the 3rd worst – affected country in the world by the pandemic. Construction, hotels and transportation and manufacturing recorded the biggest falls, the farm sector grew 3.4%.
- For the coming year Moody’s raised its forecast to 8.6% from 8.1% earlier “the economy is projected to contract by 10.3% in 2020, before rebounding by 8.8% in 2021”. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in its World Economy Outlook (WEO) update. The growth would be the highest in the world in Financial year 2022
Statue of Peace
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the “Statue of Peace” in Rajasthan, Pali district via video conferencing on 16th November, 2020 to mark the 151th birth anniversary of Jain Monk Acharya Shree Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Maharaj.
- The 151 inchs tall statue has been made of Astadhatu is installed at Vijay Valabh Sadhna Kendra, Jetpura, pali.
- Jain Monk Acharya Shree Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Maharaj (1870 – 1954) was a Jain saint worked dedicatedly to spread the message of Non – Violence, the path of peace and fraternity for the whole world, he also worked for the freedom movement and for the swadeshi movement.
