"One School One IAS"

  • Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan officially launched the “One School One IAS” program which would provide free coaching for UPSC Civil Services or IAS Exams for poor meritorious students. This scheme provide aid to 10,000 financially weak students.
  • Actor Manju Warrier made the first sponsorship announcement during hailing the foundations scholarship programme. Initially she adopted 10 girl students by meeting their coaching expenses for civil service exams.

Prarambh: Startup India International Summit

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Startup India Seed Fund Scheme of Rs 1000 Crore to provide financial assistance to startups. Going ahead, the government will provide guarantees to help startups raise debt-capital.
  •  Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, We are trying to build a startup ecosystem which functions on the “of the youth, by the youth, for the youth’ mantra,” speaking at the Prarambh Startup India International Summit in an online address.

DekhoApnaDesh Webinar

  • Ministry of Tourism organizes ‘DekhoApnaDesh’ Webinar on “Exploring Buddhist Circuit by Train” on 16 January 20, 2021.  It provide comprehensive itinerary of the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train to key Buddhist sites in India in an engaging manner.
  • The webinar was Presented by Achyut Singh, Joint General manager (tourism & marketing) Indian Railway Catering and tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Indian Personality of the Year Award

  • The 51st edition of the International Film Festival of India, Goa has conferred Shri Biswajit Chatterjee, veteran actor, producer, director and singer of Hindi and Bengali cinema, with the Indian Personality of the Year Award.
  • The Award has been announced at the opening ceremony of the festival, by Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Shri Prakash Javadekar. Biswajit Chatterjee is known for his roles in movies Bees Saal Baad, Kohra, April Fool, Kismant etc.
