Dobra Chanti Bridge (Uttarakhand Foundation Day)

  • Uttarakhand government celebrate state foundation day on 9th of November. On this day Uttarakhand government launched prominent projects and schemes for state. A) Dobra Chanti Bridge– Country’s longest motorable single lane bridge, 725 meter long, it has been build over Tehari Lake and connects Tehari and Pratapnagar. B) Free Wi-Fi connectivity to all the government administrated colleges of Uttarakhand State.

Ro-Pax Hazira-Ghogha Ferry 

  • Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off Ro-Pax Hazira-Ghogha ferry service in Gujrat. It will shorten the journey for 10-12 hours to 3-4 hours between Bhavnagar and Surat.
  • This ferry can board 500 passengers, 100 cars with 34 crew, it is 100 meter long and 40 meter wide, costs 25 Crore.
  • Government has recently changed the name of Ministry of shipping to Ministry of Ports, Shipping and waterways.

Amur Falcons 

  • Tripura government issued warning against hunting of Migratory Amur Falcons, it might result in Rs.25000 fine or 3 years imprisonment. 
  • Amur Falcons are the longest traveler raptors breed in Siberia and fly 1000 miles to India and over the Indian ocean fly to Southern Africa to return journey to Siberia and Magnolia.
  • Amur River– Border between Russia and China.
